Bedford County, Pennsylvania's Historic Courthouses

(2019) The Bedford County Courthouse is the second oldest courthouse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which means this tour is filled with lots of history and interesting stories. One exciting example is the wild chase that ensued after a defendant escaped mid-trial from a 2nd story window! Viewers will also get to know some of the famous figures from the Bedford County Courthouse, such as Judge Jeremiah S. Black, a former U.S. Secretary of State (1860-1861), who served in the Bedford County Courthouse after growing up in that region with no formal education. All of that and more on this episode of Pennsylvania's Historic County Courthouses.
