Republican State Committee voting meeting at the DoubleTree Pittsburgh.
00:00 - Thank you. At this time, the chair would ask any member or
00:03 - anyone holding a proxy who is not yet checked in
00:06 - with our PA GOP staff to please do so at this time.
00:12 - If you checked into your caucus breakfast, that's okay as well.
00:17 - We cannot start the business portion of this meeting until we have a quorum.
00:21 - The chair now points the following officials
00:23 - for the purpose of conducting this meeting.
00:26 - The parliamentarian Tom King and can we get a
00:28 - round of applause for Tom King for all of you guys.
00:31 - (Applause.
00:34 - ) And as searching in arms, Ethan Bran said her in CJ
00:38 - Parker, tellers Colin McDonald, Grace Reed, and Leah Basil.
00:43 - I would like to take this time to acknowledge all
00:45 - our elected officials who are with us this morning.
00:48 - Would all our elected officials please rise so we
00:50 - can show you our appreciation for your service.
00:54 - (Applause.
01:01 - ) Thank you for all for attending.
01:06 - Now, we're going to have our congressional update from the dean of the congressional
01:10 - delegation, Chairman of the House Agricultural Committee, Congressman GT Thompson.
01:14 - (Applause.
01:19 - ) Chairman, thank you so much. Good morning, everybody.
01:23 - Now, that's enthusiasm I can live with. That's good.
01:30 - Just really, as dean of the Pennsylvania congressional delegation and on behalf of
01:33 - all of our Republican members of Congress from Pennsylvania, I bring you greetings.
01:38 - We're so thankful for each and every one of you.
01:42 - You know, two years ago when we were here, we
01:45 - were talking about needing to save the House.
01:48 - And because of your work, we did.
01:51 - You know, the majority in the U.S. House of Representatives runs
01:54 - through Pennsylvania, and two years ago we showed them that.
01:58 - We showed them how important the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania was.
02:02 - We are -- and you wouldn't know this if you listened to the Main Street media.
02:07 - We are the most productive Congress since 1957.
02:14 - We have passed over 900 bills. I acknowledge there's
02:17 - about 600 of those still sitting in the Senate.
02:21 - But that's not a part of my report talking about the Senate.
02:26 - (Laughter.
02:27 - ) That was just real problem.
02:29 - I mean, we reduced the national debt by $1.7 trillion.
02:32 - We've got a long ways to go.
02:34 - But that's where we accomplished past two years
02:36 - under the leadership of President Donald J. Trump.
02:40 - You know, we took our first really great cuts at fraud.
02:46 - That is a disservice to the taxpayers, and we allow fraud
02:50 - to occur, and we've really done great work in that space.
02:54 - But I got a question for you this morning.
02:57 - Who here will join me to save her Commonwealth? Show me your hands as well.
03:01 - (Applause.
03:01 - ) That's what I'm talking about, Chairman. That's what we need.
03:05 - That is great. You know, a couple other questions for you.
03:10 - Do you want to go back to open borders?
03:12 - No.
03:13 - Do you want men in women's sports?
03:16 - No.
03:17 - Is violent crime in murder okay with you?
03:20 - No.
03:21 - Oh, you must all be voting Republican.
03:23 - (Laughter.
03:23 - ) And that's the message that we need to share with
03:27 - our friends, our in-laws, our outlaws, our neighbors.
03:31 - You know, we have common sense candidates, and they're great candidates.
03:35 - Starting with Stacey Garrity at the top of the table.
03:38 - (Applause.
03:40 - ) We have the message, the money, and a record of GOP-led accomplishments.
03:46 - Most importantly, you know, what we have, we have you.
03:50 - And that is so important.
03:52 - You are a part of the solution.
03:54 - You're part of the recipe, the part of the strategic plan for us to be successful
04:00 - on November 3rd.
04:03 - You know, it's -- I mean, it's just been true since the beginning of elections.
04:09 - The secret to winning elections is enthusiasm.
04:14 - Because enthusiasm drives turnout and turn out wins elections.
04:19 - And turn out is our job.
04:24 - You know, we are in a position to just punish the Democrats for their bad behavior,
04:32 - their bad candidates, you know, of what
04:34 - they've done to different parts of our country, different parts of our commonwealth.
04:41 - But we need to get that enthusiasm up.
04:44 - We need to light that fire.
04:46 - And we need to -- as an old boy scout, you know, you're going to pull the oxygen
04:52 - to the fire to make those flames grow brighter and be more effective.
04:57 - That's our job.
04:58 - And I know you all can do because I've seen you do in the past.
05:01 - And the best predictor of future performance is past performance.
05:04 - So, God bless you.
05:05 - Let's go out here and win.
05:06 - Let's crush this election.
05:08 - [ Cheers and applause ]
05:15 - Next, we're going to hear from our outstanding
05:16 - Attorney General, Dave Sunday, from your county.
05:22 - Thank you. Thank you, Chairman.
05:25 - I was told to be brief, so I'll be as brief as I possibly can here.
05:29 - So, I want to give you a little bit of an update from the Attorney General's office.
05:32 - When I was elected, I made it very clear that
05:34 - my priority would be protecting Pennsylvania's.
05:37 - And it would be fighting to keep our community safe,
05:39 - protecting children, and doing everything in my power to do so.
05:43 - Thank you.
05:44 - [ Cheers and applause ]
05:46 - That being said, right after I got elected, I immediately
05:49 - got to work with making friends in Philadelphia.
05:52 - I talked to the mayor.
05:53 - I talked to the Philadelphia Police Commissioner to let
05:55 - him know that I was going to be with him in this fight.
05:58 - And I can tell you very proudly that the last year, the Office of Attorney General,
06:02 - removed over 56 million doses of fentanyl from streets in Pennsylvania.
06:07 - [ Cheers and applause ]
06:10 - And that's unbelievably important because I say
06:12 - this all the time that even, like, when I was a kid,
06:16 - and I'm sure some of the people here, if you have made
06:18 - a mistake, you might not feel well for a day, right?
06:21 - But I'm not saying that happened to anyone in this room.
06:24 - But in today's world, a mistake for a kid could equal serious bodily injury or death.
06:30 - And I'm not being dramatic about that.
06:32 - It is an absolute fact.
06:34 - The type of drugs that are flowing into our communities are unbelievably dangerous.
06:38 - They're stronger by the minute.
06:40 - And even though overdose deaths have gone down, which is an absolute blessing,
06:45 - we must must must never stop fighting against these drug traffickers
06:49 - and doing everything we can to keep this off our streets.
06:53 - I think it's unbelievably important.
06:55 - And as Attorney General, I've made it very
06:57 - clear that I'm focusing on core competencies.
07:01 - I'm going to do this thing that people used to do a long time ago.
07:04 - And that's called focus on my job.
07:06 - And that's what we do every single day.
07:10 - Just last week, just last week here in Allegheny County,
07:14 - we had a huge announcement where we removed
07:16 - 1.65 million doses of fentanyl just last week, and over 13 kilos of cocaine.
07:22 - And that's unbelievably important.
07:25 - I want to say also that because my focus is on public safety being a career prosecutor,
07:31 - I've been able to leverage all the resources
07:33 - that I have with local police, with state police,
07:37 - with all of our federal partners every single
07:40 - day to maximize that output for you as citizens.
07:44 - And that's why we were able to do those huge cases.
07:47 - A couple other different sort of points I want to make here.
07:50 - I want to talk about protecting seniors.
07:52 - Pennsylvania's got one of the highest numbers of seniors in the entire country.
07:57 - And I know I'm sure a lot of you have dealt with this. You live it in your lives.
08:02 - I mean, you know, God bless my parents, my dad's 83 and my mom's 81.
08:06 - And I'm seeing what they have to deal with every single day.
08:09 - And I'm going to tell you what, there are small
08:11 - countries around this world whose gross domestic product
08:15 - comes from stealing money from seniors in America and in Pennsylvania.
08:19 - It is absolutely repulsive.
08:22 - I don't care how old you are or what money you have.
08:25 - It's your money. You can do what you want with
08:27 - it and no one has a right to take that from you.
08:31 - And so in line with that a few months ago, we launched our
08:34 - elder exploitation section in the Attorney
08:37 - General's office that did not exist before.
08:41 - This is a team of experienced prosecutors and investigators
08:44 - that work with police all throughout Pennsylvania
08:47 - to investigate and prosecute these cases where
08:50 - people are stealing money from senior citizens.
08:53 - We work with our federal partners every day in these cases as well.
08:57 - We go all throughout Pennsylvania to do what we
09:00 - can to teach seniors to avoid being ripped off.
09:03 - And I think that this is a huge problem, huge
09:05 - problem that we're facing that is only going to grow.
09:09 - And I want to thank all my legislative partners here.
09:13 - So our state reps, state senators, thank you for
09:16 - being so supportive of my office in the budget
09:19 - and giving us the tools we need to be able to do this unbelievably important work.
09:24 - I want to talk briefly about protecting kids.
09:27 - So my son is 11 and I am very afraid of the world that he has to grow up in.
09:32 - Last year we went around all throughout the Commonwealth
09:35 - and we did what we call a series of teen talks
09:38 - where we met with teenagers literally like 60
09:40 - different school districts all across the state.
09:43 - And we met with them. There was no media there.
09:46 - And I'll tell you what kids will let a rip.
09:49 - And so we listen to them about their lives.
09:52 - And we ask them straight up like what's going on?
09:55 - Tell us about social media, tell us about your lives.
09:58 - Do you think this is good, is it bad?
10:01 - And literally every single school district and every part of
10:04 - Pennsylvania that didn't even communicate with each other,
10:08 - the students told us that they are number one.
10:12 - They cannot avoid social media.
10:14 - Everything they do is geared around social media.
10:17 - They have said that it has impacted their mental health.
10:20 - They said it's impacted their lives.
10:22 - But I will tell you I was unbelievably surprised
10:24 - at how self-aware they were to even say that.
10:27 - I mean we live in this world where we've created this online space.
10:32 - And technology is great. It's wonderful.
10:34 - It does amazing things. I love technology.
10:36 - But it is not, you technological advancement
10:39 - is not mutually exclusive from protecting kids.
10:44 - And that is so unbelievably important.
10:47 - So after talking to those kids, we conducted investigations.
10:50 - And as a result of that, I have filed a series of lawsuits
10:53 - against some of the largest tech companies in the world.
10:57 - And the reason that we did that is because number one, I
11:00 - firmly believe that we cannot use our children's brains
11:06 - to make trillions of dollars and put them in a position for the rest of their
11:10 - lives where they will suffer and they will be have serious mental health issues.
11:14 - So I feel very strongly about that.
11:21 - These social media companies have to empower parents.
11:24 - So parents have to have the tools in front of them.
11:27 - If they don't know what's happening with these
11:28 - companies, how can parents make the right decisions?
11:31 - And so we want these companies to be honest with the parents,
11:34 - hey, you know, it's your lives or every team do what you want.
11:38 - But at least have the right information so you can make that choice for your children.
11:43 - I think that's unbelievably important.
11:45 - And lastly, I've partnered with everyone on the planet
11:49 - to do everything we can with regards to Medicaid fraud.
11:53 - We were number one in the country last year for the amount
11:56 - of convictions in Medicaid fraud here in Pennsylvania.
11:59 - Number one in the country.
12:01 - And I want to say that's super important because that's not just charges filed.
12:06 - Those are people that have been convicted because
12:08 - to order restitution and to hold people accountable,
12:11 - you have to convict them in court.
12:13 - And I want to say this and then I'll move on
12:14 - because I know my time very to get yanked off here.
12:17 - But I want to say that.
12:19 - See?
12:20 - Where's Pat Papricatch?
12:22 - She usually gives me one of these.
12:24 - But so I want to say that with regard to Medicaid
12:26 - fraud, that's not just a financial crime.
12:28 - I want to make that very, very clear to people.
12:31 - It is a public safety issue.
12:33 - Okay.
12:35 - There are wonderful humans that need the assistance that
12:39 - they are supposed to be receiving with regard to Medicaid.
12:43 - Okay.
12:44 - And when you have bad people that are stealing
12:47 - that money and not providing the services,
12:50 - then you have people that aren't getting the help they need.
12:53 - We have had cases where people have defrauded the government
12:56 - and not given the medicine they should have given to someone.
12:59 - And those people have died.
13:02 - We've had people who, we literally had someone who claimed that
13:05 - they were working over 127 hours a day, collecting Medicaid fraud.
13:11 - We had someone who was collecting, this was about over $250,000
13:15 - and the person, and they said they were providing help to people.
13:19 - And guess what? That individual was physically
13:21 - in Saudi Arabia during that entire time period.
13:24 - We had another case where, I mean, I could go on and on.
13:27 - I won't do that to you.
13:28 - I apologize.
13:29 - But I'm working with the federal government.
13:30 - I'm working with the federal task force.
13:32 - I'm working with the U.S. attorneys and the state police and everyone
13:35 - on the planet to do everything we can to make sure that that,
13:38 - that our taxpayer money that's supposed to be helping people actually gets to them.
13:42 - Because that is unbelievably important.
13:45 - And two last points I want to make.
13:47 - So I didn't, with regard to the upcoming election,
13:54 - I've seen firsthand what can happen if we do not have the ability as Republicans
13:58 - to have a voice in a majority in some former fashion here in Pennsylvania.
14:02 - So some of you may have heard of second degree murder.
14:04 - Okay.
14:05 - What that means, I'm going to make this pretty simple here.
14:09 - So if someone commits a rape, arson, robbery, kidnapping, okay, or assault.
14:17 - And in the course of doing that, they murder someone and someone dies.
14:21 - That's called second degree murder.
14:24 - So, months ago, our Pennsylvania Supreme Court said it is unlawful is
14:28 - unconstitutional to have a mandatory life sentence for second degree murder.
14:32 - Fine.
14:36 - They then said legislature, we, I think it was 120 days to go ahead
14:40 - and create some law, create a legislative statutory framework.
14:44 - So that when the sentencing comes for second degree murder,
14:48 - a judge has in front of them a sentencing structure.
14:52 - Simple, right?
14:53 - Guess what?
14:54 - That 120 days has come and gone.
14:58 - And I want to tell you that I was absolutely just shocked at the way that that went.
15:07 - Our Senate here, the Republican Senate, led the charge initially
15:10 - and it was Senate Bill 1400 that was a very, very acceptable bill.
15:15 - Okay.
15:16 - And then what happened next was obviously the Republicans
15:19 - in the House were supportive of a bill of that nature.
15:22 - And then guess what?
15:30 - And that is absolutely repulsive because at the
15:33 - end of the day, what we do is about justice.
15:36 - Okay, it's not about railroading defendants.
15:38 - There are people that are charged with crimes that should receive
15:41 - treatment that should receive help that should receive other things.
15:46 - This is about one of the most violent crimes, literally that exist in the
15:49 - crimes code that now has no sentencing structure all throughout Pennsylvania.
15:55 - And so I share that with you solely to be thankful to my legislative partners
15:59 - here that fought tooth and nail to do everything they could to get that done.
16:03 - I thank them, thank you, thank you.
16:06 - And I also say that to let you know God forbid
16:09 - what will happen if we lose the Republican Senate.
16:14 - It is unbelievably important that we fight that battle and I just wanted
16:18 - to say that and right before I totally get yanked off, I want to say that.
16:29 - During my campaign, I'm almost there. My second close is this, I campaign with Stacey Garrity when I ran
16:33 - for Attorney General. She's one of the most hardworking, good, kind, thoughtful human beings that exist.
16:38 - All throughout my world as Attorney General, I talk to people from other states
16:41 - that tell me they receive phone calls from her asking them for support in her race.
16:46 - She's working unbelievably hard and I know that she would be an
16:48 - absolutely amazing governor and let's all do what we can to fight for.
16:52 - Take care, thank you.
17:09 - I think, I think it was Congressman GT said last night that we all
17:13 - sleep safe for knowing that he's our Attorney General. Thank you, David.
17:23 - Westmoreland County, Westmoreland, from, look, I live in Cumberland County.
17:27 - We birthed all you, you know, we're South West from, yes, Kim Ward.
17:37 - Hi again, everybody. Good morning. Congratulations to the
17:41 - new officers that were elected in their perspective caucuses.
17:46 - It's a big job. I used to do it a long time ago and now
17:50 - there's Bill Brett's from my caucus. Where are you, Bill?
17:55 - I would say Bill, you know, I used to do it a long time ago and I would
17:59 - say you have big shoes to fail, except I only wear a five and a half.
18:07 - Okay, it's not going to be it. So, good morning. I am just to give you a Senate
18:11 - report. We are two votes away, as I said last night from becoming California.
18:19 - We have some very hard working senators, including our great chairman here, Greg, who I called
18:23 - like 930 in the morning. It was pouring down rain. What are you doing, Greg? I'm knocking on doors.
18:30 - It's raining. Yeah, but they'll vote for me if we're knocking on doors. So, he's just on
18:34 - a terrific job. Our candidates are working hard and we are spending money, a lot of money.
18:41 - Because why? Because this year we have a terrible generic in almost every seat, not
18:44 - every seat, but a lot of our targeted seats are in the southeastern part of the state.
18:53 - Who I love you in the southeastern part of the state, but you have a bigger job with the Republicans there than we do in
18:57 - some other areas. All of those other areas, I said this is working in the south with caucus, all of those other areas.
19:02 - We need to make up for any kind of squishy Republicans we may have around the state
19:07 - and get our friends out because we have to help states. We have to help chase it.
19:11 - We have to help these guys because they're being
19:14 - severely outspent, but it's just not always about money.
19:19 - Everything we do at a door and a phone call, it has value.
19:22 - It has a lot of value. So, please keep working and thank you for what you're doing.
19:33 - And if you are in any of those districts where we have targeted races, we have
19:37 - Rosemary Brown. I saw the chairman. Yeah, I saw everyone. Oh, there you are.
19:55 - We have Rosemary Brown, who these are incumbent seats. Tom Jones is not incumbent seat, but should be. And we will take that back. Frank Ferry, who's
20:00 - just a totally different kind of candidate. We don't see candidates like Frank Ferry very often, so good luck to the Democrats trying to get Frank Ferry.
20:06 - We also have Jared Coleman, who I talked to 15 times a day. So, his name just escaped
20:10 - me because I'm trying to forget. I don't want to see that on my cell phone again.
20:16 - He is working incredibly hard, really, really hard, and he's
20:19 - doing a great job also of raising money because that's part of it.
20:31 - I will just tell you, anyway, I probably shouldn't say it, but I always say what
20:34 - I shouldn't say. In September, we are spending over $7 million in our Senate only.
20:42 - That is a record. But we have to win because if we don't
20:45 - win, you will lose rights that you have now. You know it.
20:55 - You know your gun rights are going to be impeded, right? We're going to have abortion until birth. You're going to get a tax
20:59 - increase because a Democratic-led House has been fighting to try to get us to use sales tax money to pay for transportation.
21:11 - We love public transportation, but they're telling us that's not a tax increase. Like really, how do we feel that whole
21:16 - in the sales tax revenue bucket if we take money out of there? How does that happen? They don't care about tax increases.
21:28 - All kind of bad stuff will happen. And as our great attorney general just mentioned,
21:31 - you know, they don't care about much about crime. They stopped everything.
21:38 - So it's important. It's important for Pennsylvania. Don't you think the governor would like
21:41 - to sign a bunch of liberal bills? He absolutely would like to sign a bunch of liberal bills.
21:46 - So he can go to the DNC and say, "I'm your man.
21:49 - " Yeah, he can loosen it all at once. But that's not going to happen.
22:03 - I think what he says now, because he's such a non-leader, he doesn't stand up for anything
22:06 - ever, he says you can find it in the quote somewhere. I'll sign anything that they send me.
22:15 - You can find a quote from when he ran. I might have been after he won.
22:19 - I'll sign anything if it helps me. That's not a leader. It's not a leader.
22:28 - But before I give up the microphone, Tracy Penny Cook, where are you guys? How did
22:32 - I do that? Tracy Penny Cook has the toughest district of any of our incumbents.
22:39 - And she's really, really doing well. You know, the Democrats came in and they kept saying, "Oh,
22:42 - she's gone. She's gone." And all our polling says, "No, she isn't. No, she isn't. No, she isn't."
22:47 - So she's working hard, so please keep working hard for her. She is a great senator.
22:53 - All right. Well, that's it for me. Please make sure you get everybody to vote
22:57 - and tell them why they're so important to the future of this Commonwealth.
23:01 - If they're vote counts, whether they received 85 pieces of mail from the
23:05 - governor or not, probably most of them weren't true. What was on there?
23:11 - Oh, I just have to say one more thing. I can't help it. So, David McCormick, right? Senator
23:15 - McCormick, I also want to thank him again for his support of the Senate and the House.
23:25 - He is helping us tremendously. You know, it's unbelievable. I haven't seen it in the past. I've been
23:29 - here, as I said, a long time. And he is in there on -- he is helping us, so I really appreciate him.
23:36 - And I was going to tell him something, but I'll come back. I'm not going to circle back. But
23:39 - anyway, thank you. Thank you for -- and thank you for laughing at me because I do think I'm funny.
23:44 - And it means a lot when people laugh at me.
23:47 - So thank you.
23:54 - General Sunday, she may work 127 hours a day.
23:59 - Next up, representing the House for Representatives
24:02 - from York County, the great Kate Clunk.
24:06 - [ Applause ]
24:13 - This must be the first time I've ever come to a microphone.
24:16 - And I didn't have to adjust it down.
24:19 - [ Laughter ]
24:23 - So, today, the chairman, I think he decided to bring up the, you know,
24:27 - Pitbull blonde legislator duo here with my friend, Senator Kim Ward.
24:31 - Short girls were fun-sized, but we pack a punch.
24:35 - But I'm State Representative Kate Clunk.
24:38 - I hail from York County, the snack food capital of the world.
24:43 - I'm sorry. You know it, Hanover.
24:46 - But on behalf of Leader Tapper, our caucus and HRCC,
24:50 - thank you so much for having me here this morning.
24:56 - You all know, we have been fighting relentlessly with our PR campaign to fight
25:00 - back against the Governor's COVID era regulations from the Department of Health.
25:05 - Over 6,000 submissions against it.
25:08 - I'm sure many of you submitted those comments against it.
25:13 - Thank you so very much for standing with us.
25:16 - He withdrew those yesterday, but we must remain vigilant.
25:21 - If he gets reelected, we know that they are coming back
25:24 - and we will continue to stay vigilant on that front.
25:32 - We come back in session here on Monday. I will be sitting in Harrisburg with
25:36 - the most liberal members of our legislature that have probably ever existed.
25:50 - I sit there with socialist Democrats who want to let out murderers, cop killers, rapists. That's who I sit beside.
25:55 - And when I'm at the doors, I hear Republicans will do I really need to go out. Yes, you need to go out this year.
26:03 - This is do or die, folks. Our House is on the line, our Senate's on the line, our governors,
26:07 - races, our congressional delegation. The state of this Commonwealth is on the line.
26:13 - We will continue to stand up for all of our Republican values, limited
26:16 - government fiscal responsibility, standing with our police each and every day.
26:25 - We need to know that we are aggressively campaigning. We're just not fighting in Harrisburg for
26:29 - you. We are fighting at each and every door in each and every district region across this state.
26:35 - We have incredible incumbents, incredible incumbents.
26:37 - I serve with some of the most passionate people that walk the face of this earth.
26:45 - They are in the fight of their lives, just like our senators. We also have some
26:49 - incredible candidates who have stepped up to run against those crazy Democrats.
27:03 - And the Democrats, they have a huge influx of money coming in from all over the country right now. From California, New
27:07 - York, you name it, that money is flowing in. But you know what? We are beating it back every single door with your help.
27:14 - And we need you now. We need door knockers. We need donors. We need message
27:18 - amplifiers on social media so that we can finish this out for Pennsylvania.
27:31 - Last week, our House candidates knocked over 18,000 doors.
27:34 - That is more than any week in 2024. That is absolutely huge.
27:44 - So we will continue out there breaking those records at the doors with your help. We've got five
27:48 - weeks to go. We need to keep our Senate. We need to keep our House members, our House Republicans.
27:52 - We need to win seats back so that we can team up with Senator
27:56 - Ward over there in our Republican colleagues and being that wall.
28:09 - We need to reelect our Republicans here from Pennsylvania to the House of Representatives with Congressman GT Thompson
28:13 - and especially no longer my congressman, but Scott Perry from York County. That's a race that we are working hard.
28:17 - Absolutely working hard and killing it at the doors. I don't think we've ever
28:20 - seen as much door knocking in York County as we have the past couple of weeks.
28:28 - We need to get Stacy and Jason elected my daughter Grace. She's eight years old. She's seen
28:32 - the commercials and she calls BS on them every single time because she knows Miss Stacy.
28:44 - She knows who she is. If you meet Stacy, you love her. You know that she's going to be the best darn governor we've
28:48 - ever had and how awesome would it be for my little daughters to be able to say there's a woman governor in Pennsylvania.
28:55 - Let's do it with Stacy and Jason. Let's get out there. Let's get at those
28:59 - doors doors win wars and this is the work we need to win. Thank you.
29:14 - Thank you. Representative Klonke, Josh Parsons from Lancaster County to give the County Commissioners report. Thank you, Mr. Chairman. It's
29:19 - good to see all of you. Just a couple of quick points this morning. I'm privileged to represent the Republican caucus of county commissioners.
29:28 - So those are your Republican commissioners all across the state spread across your counties. We have a great group of
29:32 - grassroots hardworking people. They face the public every week in public meetings and fight those battles on the ground.
29:40 - I know a number of them here today. I could just ask my colleagues to stand up if you're
29:44 - here around the room. Got a couple other commissioners here. Sam over there. Thank you.
29:52 - So we're pushing early voting. So talk to your commissioners because find out what the hours are for
29:57 - your county. Our voters like to come in and request a mail ballot and vote it right at the counter.
30:05 - We saw that during the presidential election. It was very successful. So our voters like that get them to come into
30:09 - your county government building or your courthouse wherever you can request a mail ballot and vote it right away.
30:19 - We cannot go into this election hundreds of thousands of votes down where the other side has already banked them. So
30:23 - push early voting. I know Scott Pressler's pushing that. I know many of you are out there as well. Our voters like that.
30:31 - Please talk about our chairman's talking about that. Please talk about that to your committees. Public safety is Attorney
30:36 - General Sunday said there is a difference between when Republicans are in control and when Democrats are in control.
30:43 - We have the lowest level of homicides that the country has seen in like 50 years in
30:46 - Lancaster County. We only had four criminal homicides last year and county of 560,000 people.
30:51 - That is amazing. That's because of people like Attorney General Sunday. That's because
30:55 - of your district attorneys. It's because we're enforcing immigration laws again.
31:03 - Commissioner see that. A lot of what we do is about public safety running 911 centers running the prison.
31:07 - And so that makes a difference. Fentanyl overdoses are as low as they've been in many, many years.
31:15 - So that is incredible. Please articulate that to your voters because I think people
31:19 - don't talk about that a lot. And thirdly and lastly, honesty and transparency.
31:27 - The 500 page health department regulations. This was very COVID-esque. This was
31:31 - pushing some unbelievable things and they were trying to push it under the radar.
31:36 - We had the governor come into our county and give a press conference on measles
31:39 - recently and say that there were two measles related deaths in Lancaster County.
31:52 - We started asking questions because the media didn't. And it turned out this was very, very deceptive. One of those was some of
31:56 - the tragic case in infant who died in home birth or birth outside of a hospital who died with measles but not because of measles.
32:01 - That was deceptive. And the second was an infant that had a very,
32:05 - very serious genetic terminal disease and died related to measles.
32:10 - But again, it was deceptive. They provided no information and they just said these were two
32:14 - unvaccinated people. They were too young to be vaccinated. So it was extremely deceptive.
32:18 - That shouldn't be acceptable to any of us, whether Republican,
32:21 - Democrat, whatever you are. So our voters, I think, want integrity.
32:26 - That's what we're getting in Stacey. Please articulate that to them.
32:30 - There is a difference between Republican and Democrat leadership.
32:34 - We're going to continue to push public safety, integrity and early voting.
32:38 - Thank you. God bless you. God bless America.
32:45 - Thank you, Commissioner Parsons. And thank you for standing
32:49 - up for transparency with the governor in the measles case.
33:01 - At this point, in lieu of a roll call, the chair is asking if the quorum is
33:05 - recognizing Ann Coleman to report on the registration being to establish a quorum.
33:09 - Secretary Coleman.
33:22 - Mr. Chairman, I'm pleased to report that we have a quorum reported as 218
33:26 - members present, 108 proxies for a total of 326 voting members. Thank you.
33:31 - I now declare a quorum of the Republican Party of Pennsylvania meetings officially
33:35 - commenced to transact the business of the party as set forth under our rules.
33:44 - A draft of the minutes of our last meeting was emailed to members as part of the meeting notice. They're included in
33:48 - the red folders provided in your seats. Are there any objections to the minutes? Hearing none, the minutes are approved.
34:08 - Now, I have a visual aid. This is the on demand over
34:11 - the counter instant request for mail and ballot.
34:15 - This is going to be the most important thing for you for the next 30 days.
34:19 - And then the last eight days will work on election day.
34:25 - Instead of taking one day to vote, like we historically do, we have an opportunity
34:29 - to take 30 days to vote. Take this form. It's simple. I just filled it out.
34:39 - There's only like five lines to fill out. Your name, your birth date, phone number is optional. Email is optional.
34:43 - Your address. How long you've lived there. You're voting precinct, which if you know your driver's license number.
34:50 - How about that, an ID, what a novel idea. The last four digits of your Social
34:53 - Security number. You sign it and date it and you take this to your election board.
34:59 - You have votes p a dot with the p a j p. You can put in your address and find out
35:03 - in your county where you go to vote. You take this in with your driver's license.
35:15 - Your ID and you get a ballot. You bank your vote. You vote early on demand. I love the term over the
35:19 - counter voting. This is how we're going to win in November. This is how we're going to win. This this form.
35:28 - Here we are working hard on as coordinating working together with our congressional candidates. There are 22
35:32 - congressional races in the country that are considered toss up for them are in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
35:54 - That is what they're going to do. We've seen this movie before.
35:57 - I don't want to see it again. Let's make sure we win those congressional seats.
36:12 - We've heard from our great leader. Kim Ward about the Senate. We've got to keep the majority in the Senate. We are the firewall
36:17 - against a craziness in the house. By the way, let's win the house. Let's make Jesse topper to speak or the house for representatives.
36:25 - We have 38 days. I think anybody was there last night can see the excitement, can see the
36:28 - enthusiasm. I have said over and over again, Pennsylvania has a history of upsets and politics.
36:42 - In 1991, Harris Wafford beat governor, the popular governor turned two-time Attorney General Dick Thornburg to win the
36:46 - Senate seat when John Hines from out here, a parish in the plane crash. Nobody saw that coming. It was a huge upset.
36:50 - In 1994, Rick Santorum also from out here, upset Harris Wafford in a race that
36:54 - nobody thought was going to win. Maybe Kim, because she was working on it.
37:00 - By the way, Stacey Garity beat Joe Torsella for treasure.
37:03 - Nobody saw that coming except for the people in this room.
37:11 - And Dave McCormick last year, beating the unbeatable Bob Casey.
37:19 - About this time, 40 days out of that race, Bob Casey was up by double digits.
37:25 - Dave McCormick had no chance, and he won that race because of you.
37:35 - And the greatest upset, probably in the history of Pennsylvania, the history of the country, the history of the world,
37:39 - was when the American colonists, 250 years ago, beat the British to win our independence in the Revolutionary War.
37:43 - So don't tell me we can't win.
37:48 - The left and the media, and the mainstream media, they want to depress you.
37:52 - They want to tell you the generic ballot spat.
37:55 - By the way, I don't disagree. The generic ballot is probably pretty bad.
37:58 - It's a good thing we have nominated.
37:59 - We have an endorsed. We're not running generic candidates.
38:03 - We have real candidates with great ideas, with character, with records.
38:08 - The Democrats don't have that. So you guys are going to go
38:11 - out for the next 38 days and go home and make this happen.
38:14 - That's my report. I'm now going to introduce our outstanding national
38:18 - committeewoman, Laurie Hardeman, to talk about the national committee.
38:23 - [applause]
38:28 - Thank you, Greg. Good morning, everyone.
38:35 - As you all know, the RNC held the first ever midterm convention earlier this month, and it featured
38:39 - back-to-back keynote addresses from our president, vice president, their cabinet officials,
38:43 - candidates for office, every day Americans, and members of Congress.
38:49 - The administration's achievements took center stage,
38:53 - and the message of crazy versus common sense was -- [inaudible]
39:00 - -- Pennsylvania GOP personnel who made this event
39:03 - so seamless for all of us who went. Thank you, guys.
39:07 - [applause]
39:14 - As has been previously stated, there are four toss-up congressional races in
39:17 - Pennsylvania, and the RNC is supporting those races with resources and personnel.
39:35 - As of this morning, the political report shows that the Republicans have a slight advantage in the list of 22 house races across the country
39:40 - that they consider toss-ups. We have four of those listed toss-up races in Pennsylvania with the report calling our candidates slightly favored.
39:47 - RNC field teams have knocked on over 7,200 doors in each of the last two weeks, and
39:51 - they are coordinating closely with other Republican-affiliated door-knocking teams.
39:56 - Finally, the RNC continues to invest heavily in lawsuits and
40:00 - other resources to promote nationwide election integrity.
40:15 - There are currently over 179 active lawsuits across the 37 states. There has also been RNC investment in poll-watching training, and
40:18 - there will be an active hotline on Election Day to support real-time resolutions of irregularities and to follow-up on lawsuits as needed.
40:23 - Thank you all.
40:27 - [applause]
40:54 - I'd like to introduce our vice chair, Bernie Comfort, to give the leadership report.
41:07 - I'm going to be talking about the RNC investment here, and also about the midterm convention. How many people were
41:11 - there in the room right here? It was an awesome experience with our drill sergeant. I mean, convention chair Pat Popper.
41:19 - Honestly, Pat, if you've never been to a convention, go to a convention with Pat because it runs
41:22 - a tight ship, and we had a great time and thank you, Pat, for your support of it and your service.
41:27 - But I have to recognize the staff, James Markley.
41:29 - I'm going to forget somebody, Colin, CJ, all the wonderful staff, Angie.
41:34 - Everybody that made it happen in two months,
41:36 - it was really like, "Yeah, who am I missing?
41:39 - " Gray, so my gosh, I told you, Gray, so I'm so sorry.
41:42 - And so it was an incredible event, so thank you to all of them.
41:45 - We heard reports of course from the Dean of our delegation,
41:48 - GT Thompson, our wonderful Attorney General, and others.
41:53 - But we ended by talking with and hearing from our
41:57 - next governor, Madame Treasurer, Stacey Garrity.
42:01 - And you know, she brought us a message of gratitude
42:04 - and thanks for our leadership and our help for her.
42:07 - And today I want to conclude by thanking you, Stacey, for your
42:11 - service to our country and your service to this Commonwealth.
42:15 - And I want to tell her, and I want you all to join me in
42:18 - telling her, "We will not let you down. We are with you.
42:22 - We will work for 38 days to get you elected." Thank you, Stacey.
42:30 - Thank you, Bernie, and all you do, and Bernie also hosted the current
42:34 - class of Einstein here this week, so thank you to all of them.
42:41 - I'd like to now call upon for our caucus
42:45 - reports, the first from NEPA, Donna Cosmella.
42:49 - And NEPA is next up to bat, if you want to go to the other microphone.
42:53 - Is this on? Can everybody hear me? Good morning, everybody.
42:58 - Chairman, thank you for everything.
43:01 - We heard from our, well, we hear from our wonderful Jason, Jason Ritchie.
43:09 - We talked about in our caucus how to get the vote out. That's the most
43:12 - important thing in the Northeast, that to get all of us out of the vote.
43:20 - Unfortunately, this primary, we didn't get the best numbers out, so
43:24 - our goal in the Northeast is to get at least 80% of the vote out.
43:28 - And we're working on some issues, so thank you.
43:32 - And you look great, Donna.
43:43 - My neck ride now has co-chairs in the caucus, Bob,
43:46 - today, and Maria Monteiro. Congratulations to you both.
43:54 - Thank you.
44:02 - Thank you for all you do.
44:06 - We went one last thing. We did have a motion on the floor that
44:10 - we were going to donate $2,000 to the Garrity for PA campaign.
44:14 - Awesome. We did this.
44:17 - Awesome.
44:18 - We did it in memory of Lenette Volano who passed away this summer.
44:22 - That was her last request that she made to our caucus.
44:26 - Thank you. God bless her. Maria?
44:30 - Good morning, everyone. I'm Maria Monteiro.
44:32 - I'm the co-chair of our Northeastern Central caucus.
44:35 - I wanted to thank you, everyone, who wanted to support the co-chair move.
44:39 - We're very motivated to make sure that every county in our caucus delivers.
44:43 - We have great balance with carbon and school school that are
44:46 - heavy Republican and Lehigh and North American can learn a lot.
44:50 - We can collaborate, so I really look forward
44:52 - to delivering for Stacy and God bless America.
44:55 - [applause]
44:59 - The southeast caucus, Pat Paparic and Central is on deck.
45:05 - Thank you, Mr. Chairman.
45:07 - Southeast met this week and again today, and we have to welcome
45:10 - two new chairman, our own Ted Christian from Bucks County,
45:13 - and Dave Buffdiff from Chester County, something new. I'm new chairman.
45:17 - And we gave a big thanks to Andy Riley who was our caucus chair
45:20 - for eight years, and now I'm going to serve in that capacity.
45:24 - We look forward to working hard. We heard from the candidates this morning.
45:28 - Southeast as you know, it's a big area.
45:30 - Big hearts, big support. We're going to do it. Thank you so much.
45:34 - So, Pat, one second. Just so everyone knows, Pat
45:37 - Paparic served for 18 years as Chairman of Bucks County.
45:41 - Thank you. And she has agreed to serve for 18 years
45:45 - as Chairman of Southeast caucus, so thank you, Pat.
45:49 - The central caucus, Dave fight. Thank you, Chairman.
45:54 - The central caucus met this morning. We enjoyed our continental breakfast.
45:59 - We heard from a number of our candidates.
46:01 - I should have had more of a plan before I came up here.
46:04 - We heard from a number of our candidates, Jason
46:06 - Ritchie, the chairman, our attorney general.
46:09 - We also reorganized and had our election of officers.
46:15 - We, similar to Necra, also made the decision to
46:19 - donate $2,000 to the Gerriti Ritchie campaign.
46:23 - [applause]
46:28 - I believe that is all I have to offer.
46:30 - Thank you, Dave, and thank you all from the central caucus.
46:33 - The Southwest caucus, Phil Bredts, and northwest year on deck, Marcy.
46:41 - Good morning, Mr. Chairman. The Southwest Clock
46:43 - has just thrilled to be the host for this weekend.
46:45 - I hope everybody has enjoyed our great city.
46:48 - [applause]
46:51 - Mr. Chairman, while I do look forward to traveling
46:53 - around to the remaining four corners of the commonwealth,
46:57 - I do hope that you bring the meeting back here again in the near future.
47:01 - So, I'd like to thank everyone this morning for voting for me in the Southwest Clock
47:07 - as to be the new chair and recognize the
47:09 - outgoing officers, Jackie Coleback and Sue Darr,
47:12 - along with recognizing our new officers vice chair,
47:15 - Ross Stewart and John Schneider, our secretary.
47:18 - We were also visited by AEG Dave Sunday and Jason Ritchie this morning,
47:24 - and we came out of the meeting unified around working
47:27 - hard through the last days before the election
47:30 - to get Stacey and Jason across the finish line.
47:33 - Thank you. Thank you, Bill.
47:36 - From the northwest clock, Marcy Lincheseta.
47:40 - Thank you, Mr. Chairman. The northwest caucus is like the little engine that could.
47:45 - I use that metaphor because we held the first ever northwest caucus fundraiser
47:50 - on the Titusville and oil creek railroad, and I'm
47:53 - proud to announce that we had 100% participation from every county in the caucus.
47:59 - We exceeded our fundraising goal of $20,000 for Stacey Garity.
48:05 - [applause]
48:11 - I'd like to thank Clarion County Chair Rick
48:13 - Roth on for his hard work in leading this caucus
48:17 - in our successful fundraiser. Rick is a competitive coach and did a great job.
48:22 - Speaking of competition, the northwest caucus
48:25 - is holding a friendly competition in October.
48:28 - We're having a days of action contest October 12th to the 17th,
48:32 - working alongside Colin and CJ using the Paul
48:35 - Sarap to knock doors and make phone calls.
48:38 - I'm looking forward to adding volunteers in each
48:41 - county, growing our grassroots in the northwest
48:44 - and being the boots on the ground for Stacey and Jason.
48:47 - To the other caucus chairs, I challenge you, Pat Popper.
48:53 - [laughter]
48:56 - To come together in unity and carry out your own
48:59 - caucus days of action competition for yourselves.
49:02 - We need to do it for the team.
49:04 - Thank you and save travels.
49:06 - Thank you, Marcy.
49:07 - [applause]
49:10 - For the Resolution Committee, Pat Saylor,
49:14 - there are also reports from our auxiliary groups in your red folders.
49:17 - Please take a moment to review them.
49:22 - Good morning, everybody.
49:29 - The Resolution Committee met Monday, September the 21st by Zoom.
49:35 - We considered and passed five resolutions, which are included in your package.
49:40 - We also have more your resolutions to consider.
49:46 - Thank you. There is no old business, and we will move on to the new business.
49:52 - After I recognize the Chairman of the Pennsylvania Young Republicans, Andrea Raffle.
49:58 - Andrea, you please.
50:00 - [applause]
50:03 - For those of you who don't know, in 1989, '99, '91, '92,
50:10 - I was a young Republican, Chairman of the Cumberland County Young Republicans,
50:13 - and I was a national committee man for the State Young Republicans,
50:16 - and my State Chairman was Guy Sharaki from Chester County.
50:20 - Who may still be here.
50:22 - So Andrea, I know what you're doing.
50:24 - I know how important it is, and I am grateful
50:26 - for the youth of Pennsylvania and our party.
50:29 - [applause]
50:35 - Good morning, Chairman Rothman, Vice Chairman Comfort,
50:37 - members of leadership, and members of State Committee.
50:41 - My name is Andrea Raffle, and since January, I have had the honor
50:45 - of serving as the Chairman of the Pennsylvania Young Republicans.
50:49 - The young Republicans are the nationally recognized
50:51 - youth organization of the Republican Party,
50:54 - which brings together Republicans between 18 to 40 years
50:57 - old, and our mission is simple, but incredibly important.
51:02 - To recruit, train, and elect the next generation of Republican leaders.
51:07 - And here in Pennsylvania, we're doing just that.
51:11 - As the reigning young Republican Federation of the Year,
51:15 - Pennsylvania has become nationally recognized for
51:17 - the strength and the growth of our organization.
51:20 - Since January, we have chartered eight new young Republican chapters,
51:24 - covering 12 of Pennsylvania counties, bringing
51:27 - our total to 29 chapters across the Commonwealth,
51:31 - and we have several more counties that we are working towards chartering.
51:35 - This growth would not be possible without the tremendous
51:39 - partnerships we have built with county chairs,
51:42 - state committee members, and Republican leaders across the Commonwealth.
51:46 - We're so proud of our incredible growth that
51:49 - we have just under 1,200 members statewide,
51:53 - and that number is continuing to grow.
51:55 - And if you know of Republican aged 18 to 40 years old,
51:59 - maybe your children, your grandchildren, your neighbors,
52:02 - we would love to get them involved with our local chapters.
52:06 - But perhaps Pennsylvania is most known around the country for nationally,
52:13 - because we're not simply just finding the next generation of Republican leaders.
52:17 - We're electing them here in Pennsylvania.
52:19 - Young Republicans are serving at every level of
52:21 - government and party leadership across Pennsylvania.
52:25 - This year, we elected our largest class ever of state committee members
52:29 - 15 percent of the state committee being young Republicans.
52:33 - [applause]
52:39 - I'd love to recognize those members today.
52:42 - If all of our under 40 state committee members could stand up for a second.
52:47 - [applause]
52:50 - And we have -- [applause]
52:58 - It includes six county GOP chairs.
53:01 - [applause] I'm good.
53:04 - This fall, young Republicans will appear on ballots across Pennsylvania,
53:10 - including 25 candidates for state representative with 20 incumbents,
53:15 - three candidates for state senate, including one incumbent,
53:18 - and our young Republican member of Congress, Rob Bresnehan.
53:22 - [applause]
53:27 - The young Republicans are also already looking forward to 2027,
53:31 - and we have an ambitious goal of a hundred young Republican candidates
53:35 - running for local and municipal offices across Pennsylvania.
53:39 - Because building the future of our party doesn't start at the top of the ticket.
53:43 - It starts in our boroughs, in our townships,
53:45 - on our school boards, and county government.
53:48 - Now, of course, electing Republicans across the Commonwealth takes a lot of work.
53:54 - And across the country, our P.A. Y.R.'s have developed a reputation
53:59 - for being boots on the ground for our candidates.
54:01 - In 2024, the Pennsylvania Young Republicans made 8.5 million
54:06 - voter contacts for our candidates up and down the ballot.
54:10 - And this year, we're working towards an even
54:12 - bigger goal of 10 million voter contacts across the Commonwealth.
54:17 - Right now, we're in week nine out of 15 straight weekends of deployments
54:21 - for our Republican candidates up and down the ticket.
54:24 - Our members are showing up every weekend, putting in the work,
54:27 - and having conversations needed to support our
54:30 - Republican candidates across the Commonwealth.
54:33 - Now, I also want to take a moment to thank so many of you in this room
54:37 - for giving our members something that's incredibly
54:39 - important, which is a seat at the table.
54:43 - The truth is that giving our younger Republicans a voice,
54:46 - listening to their ideas and providing them with meaningful opportunities to contribute
54:51 - really matters more than you may realize.
54:53 - If we want to grow our party, continue reaching new generations of voters.
54:57 - We have to be willing to welcome the new people
54:59 - to the table, including our younger Republicans.
55:02 - We don't simply want to be told that we're the future of the party.
55:06 - We want opportunities to help shape that future today.
55:09 - [applause]
55:16 - Finally, I want to personally thank Chairman Rothman and Vice Chairman Comfort
55:19 - for their steadfast commitment to working with the Pennsylvania Young Republicans.
55:23 - We are incredibly fortunate here in Pennsylvania
55:26 - for the relationship that we have with our party
55:29 - and that party leadership recognizes the importance of developing,
55:33 - supporting, and empowering the next generation of Republican leaders.
55:37 - Chairman Merrockman already mentioned this, but I reckon he's warned many hats,
55:42 - but maybe the most fun hat was that I was as
55:45 - Pennsylvania Young Republicans' national committee man.
55:51 - This partnership with our organization has
55:52 - helped ensure that young Republicans have a voice
55:55 - and opportunity to serve in a place within our party.
55:58 - On behalf of the Pennsylvania Young Republicans,
56:00 - I'd like to present each of you with a Pennsylvania Young Republican challenge coin
56:04 - as a small token of our appreciation for your steadfast commitment, partnership,
56:09 - and support of the Pennsylvania Young Republicans.
56:11 - Thank you for believing in our organization.
56:13 - Thank you for investing in our members,
56:15 - and thank you for helping us recruit, train, and elect the
56:18 - next generation of Republican leaders across Pennsylvania.
56:21 - [applause]
56:27 - Thank you guys so much.
56:29 - Thank you, Andrea.
56:30 - Can we give her a round of applause to all the young Republicans?
56:34 - [applause]
56:36 - And tomorrow, Senator Joe Bekozi from Philadelphia,
56:40 - who is clearly a young Republican, he might still be a teenager Republican.
56:46 - Joe is bringing 20 young people to my Senate
56:48 - district in Cumberland County to do doors,
56:51 - so thank you for the deployment 38 more days.
56:55 - With that, we will now turn over new business,
56:58 - which will be consideration of the resolutions.
57:02 - For resolution number one, the Chair now recognizes Jackie Coleback of
57:07 - Canberra County to speak on behalf of her resolution,
57:09 - calling for a constitutional amendment to limit emergency powers.
57:13 - [applause]
57:27 - Okay, all right, well, let's move on to resolution number two.
57:30 - I'll call on Lisa Mallon of Montgomery County to speak on behalf of her resolution,
57:34 - calling on Governor Shapiro, to end the legal occupation of his neighbor's property.
57:39 - [laughter]
57:42 - I don't know if we really need debate on this.
57:49 - There's Lisa, go ahead, take the microphone, Lisa.
57:54 - All the resolutions should be in your packet, so you have any questions.
58:06 - [laughter]
58:14 - So the resolution is to ask Governor Shapiro to vacate certain property
58:15 - that actually is behind the Governor's house but belongs to his neighbor.
58:17 - And I really declined to say much more than that because it is still under litigation.
58:23 - And I've been asked by the neighbor whose property
58:27 - it is not to discuss the particulars of that case.
58:31 - So, but we are passing and submitting the resolution.
58:36 - Thank you.
58:37 - All in favor of urging Governor Shapiro to end the illegal
58:40 - occupation of his neighbor's property, please say aye.
58:43 - Aye.
58:44 - Anyways, the motion passes as resolution is adopted.
58:50 - [applause]
58:53 - Resolution number three, the chair now recognizes Sue Means
58:56 - of Allegheny County to speak on behalf of her resolution,
58:59 - demanding Governor Shapiro and his Department of Health
59:02 - withdraw his proposed Department of Health regulations.
59:05 - Sounds like it worked.
59:07 - [laughter] Yes, it did.
59:09 - So, it's already been rescinded, but we can't forget that he tried to do this to us.
59:16 - And he will bring it back if he is reelected, please,
59:19 - please, please tell everyone you know, especially parents,
59:23 - that he wants to come into our schools and
59:25 - interrogate our children without our permission.
59:29 - Thank you very much for your support.
59:32 - Thank you.
59:33 - [applause]
59:35 - And we also now know that when Stacey Garrity's
59:38 - Governor, they will not be 503 regulations,
59:42 - primary through page regulation prose, all in favor
59:45 - of the resolution to demand the Department of Health.
59:49 - Maybe we should congratulate our thank the Department of Health
59:51 - for withdrawing the proposed Department of Health regulations.
59:54 - Please say aye.
59:55 - Aye.
59:56 - Opposed, no.
59:57 - The ayes have it.
59:58 - The resolution is adopted.
59:59 - 055 Resolution number four, the chair now recognizes Daniel Campo
01:00 - 07.012 of Northampton County to speak on behalf of his resolution,
01:00 - 11.000 calling a Governor Shapiro to denounce the Democratic Socialists.
01:00 - 12.000 Good morning, everybody.
01:00 - 16.000 I'm Daniel Campo from Northampton County, like the chairman mentioned.
01:00 - 19.000 [applause]
01:00 - 21.000 I'm originally from Venezuela.
01:00 - 23.000 My grandparents were Cuban.
01:00 - 27.000 My family has been escaping communism for over 60 years now.
01:00 - 30.039 The communists and the socialists, because their interchange,
01:00 - 33.012 have push policies that destroy my country forcing us to live.
01:00 - 36.983 Now, the Democratic Socialists of America are trying to do the same
01:00 - 40.012 policies here that destroy my nation and will destroy ours now.
01:00 - 44.134 Starting by the Constitution, the Democratic Socialists of America have talked about
01:00 - 48.012 get rid of the Constitution or change it to whatever they like it to look like.
01:00 - 50.999 Starting by the Second Amendment in Venezuela
01:00 - 54.012 and in Cuba, the communists go rid of our guns.
01:00 - 59.000 We were never able to get rid of the communist government without external help.
01:00 - 01.934 Case in point, Venezuela and now in Cuba, they're
01:01 - 04.012 still the communists are still entrenched there.
01:01 - 07.000 Additionally, they will not stop only with the Second Amendment.
01:01 - 10.930 They will go for the first one and any other amendment that will get
01:01 - 15.012 on their way of their goals on controlling and destroying this nation.
01:01 - 17.000 Secondly, they want to pack the courts.
01:01 - 24.055 In Venezuela, the courts were designed and they didn't impact them, but basically they put
01:01 - 28.012 every person there that will align with the communist government, meaning no matter how
01:01 - 33.853 egregious, and the constitutional, which by
01:01 - 38.012 the way, they made their own Constitution too.
01:01 - 39.972 And how damaging for the people is, the government always
01:01 - 41.638 could get away with it because the courts were on their side.
01:01 - 44.000 Lastly, they want to get rid of the Senate.
01:01 - 47.000 One of the strongest check-in balances that we have in this nation.
01:01 - 52.000 If they get rid of the Senate, they can have the tyranny of the many.
01:01 - 56.000 Basically have the cities vote for whatever they want and nobody to stop them.
01:01 - 59.044 That's why today I bring this resolution, asking Gorner
01:01 - 02.012 Shapiro, show us the people, the scapegoat communism,
01:02 - 05.031 and also show everybody in this nation that love this
01:02 - 08.012 country with all their heart, that you are going to denounce.
01:02 - 12.850 That's sorry, that you also love this country and you will denounce the democracy of
01:02 - 17.012 America and their policies that clearly want to destroy the country and they also hate it.
01:02 - 18.000 Thank you so much.
01:02 - 26.000 Thank you.
01:02 - 28.488 All in favor of the resolution calling on Governor Speaker that
01:02 - 31.012 announced the Democratic Socialists of America, please say aye.
01:02 - 32.000 Aye.
01:02 - 34.000 All opposed, nay.
01:02 - 36.000 The ayes have it, the resolution is adopted.
01:02 - 39.000 Resolution number five, yes, round of applause.
01:02 - 41.206 Resolution number five, the chair now
01:02 - 44.012 recognizes Christine Wilkins from Monroe County.
01:02 - 47.245 On behalf of her resolution calling on Governor
01:02 - 51.012 Shapiro to release withheld public records and emails.
01:02 - 53.000 Thank you chair.
01:02 - 55.515 A resolution calling upon Governor Josh Shapiro
01:02 - 58.012 to release withheld public records and emails.
01:03 - 06.180 Whereas the withheld records relate to a sexual assault cover-up scandal, where the then secretary
01:03 - 10.012 of legislative affairs Mark Vera subjected a female employee to unwanted sexual advances.
01:03 - 21.128 Through the remarks of retaliation and after she reported his conduct, the employee ultimately resigned
01:03 - 25.132 after the administration failed to remedy the situation or to protect her from further retaliation.
01:03 - 30.041 Whereas broad in liberty has filed legal action in the Commonwealth Corps of
01:03 - 34.012 Pennsylvania seeking the release of public records related to the scandal.
01:03 - 38.038 Whereas Governor Shapiro's administration attempted to suppress broad
01:03 - 42.012 in liberty's legal effort to obtain documents related to the scandal.
01:03 - 48.938 And the payment of the public funds totaling $295,000 to obtain a non-disclosure
01:03 - 53.012 agreement from the victim to protect the member of the Governor Shapiro's cabinet.
01:03 - 58.000 This is terrible and I ask the process resolution.
01:03 - 59.000 Thank you Christine.
01:03 - 03.000 All in favor of adopting this resolution please respond by saying aye.
01:04 - 04.000 Aye.
01:04 - 05.001 All opposed nay.
01:04 - 06.000 The ayes have it.
01:04 - 07.000 This resolution is adopted.
01:04 - 15.000 Going back to resolution number one, the resolution in your folder.
01:04 - 18.461 The resolution calls for constitutional amendment
01:04 - 22.012 to limit emergency powers if you recall after COVID.
01:04 - 27.964 We the legislature twice passed a resolution and you and the people of Pennsylvania
01:04 - 32.012 by I think 53% of the vote passed a resolution saying the governor only has 30 days.
01:04 - 34.205 To have an emergency order put in place and at that
01:04 - 36.012 point he would need to go back to the legislature.
01:04 - 39.774 This even strengthens that in light of the governor's
01:04 - 44.012 actions and the proposed Department of Health and be clear.
01:04 - 46.395 They just withdrew them until after the election and
01:04 - 49.012 they will resubmit them and we will have to be vigilant.
01:04 - 54.000 But all in favor of that resolution number one, please say aye.
01:04 - 02.000 Opposed nay.
01:05 - 03.001 The ayes have it.
01:05 - 05.000 That resolution is adopted.
01:05 - 09.000 We're now going to resolution six dash nine.
01:05 - 13.000 The chair now recognizes Jim Sarah.
01:05 - 17.000 To speak on behalf of his four memorial resolutions for Kathleen Kelly.
01:05 - 19.000 Kenneth Hansel Jr.
01:05 - 24.000 Jim.
01:05 - 25.000 Thank you.
01:05 - 31.000 I'm also waiting for my county chair, Liz Ferry who would like to read one of them.
01:05 - 38.853 But yes, unfortunately we've had three former state committee members as
01:05 - 43.012 well as our esteemed justice of the Supreme Court pass away in the last year.
01:05 - 51.000 First, I would say Kathleen Kelly, I served with her from 2010 to 2014.
01:05 - 54.000 She passed away in January.
01:05 - 00.000 Kathleen Kelly served as member state committee one term, local committee member.
01:06 - 03.921 She was very active in Montgomery Township and she was very
01:06 - 08.012 active in the Montgomery County Council for public and women.
01:06 - 13.000 And we certainly miss Kathy.
01:06 - 17.000 And I will say Ken Hansel.
01:06 - 20.484 He's lived in Lancaster County for the last couple of
01:06 - 24.012 years, but he was very active in Montgomery County as well.
01:06 - 27.000 I served with him from 2010 to 2014.
01:06 - 31.076 He was an auctioneer and he was also a long
01:06 - 35.012 time treasure of former state representative,
01:06 - 40.000 toples campaign. So we certainly miss Ken.
01:06 - 47.666 Sandra Schultz Newman, I knew her certainly when she was on the
01:06 - 52.012 Commonwealth Court and volunteered for her Supreme Court campaign in 1995.
01:06 - 57.000 And, you know, certainly most of us in Mako have gotten to know her.
01:07 - 04.024 The first female Supreme Court justice, and I knew her because she
01:07 - 08.012 was actually on the board of Drexel where I was attending at the time.
01:07 - 12.000 So certainly Justice Newman will be missed.
01:07 - 16.063 And Chair Ferry would like to comment on former state
01:07 - 18.928 committee member, a long time state committee
01:07 - 28.000 member, for Joan Sondheim's proclamation.
01:07 - 31.945 So I wanted to comment on Joan Sondheim, who was a dear friend of
01:07 - 36.012 mine, and one of the reasons I got involved in Upper Dublin Township.
01:07 - 42.000 She was really a tough bird. She played 18 holes a golf a month before she passed.
01:07 - 46.159 She lived into her mid-90s. She was a member of
01:07 - 50.012 the Republican State Committee for several terms.
01:07 - 55.000 She was an alternative delegate to the 2008 Republican National Convention.
01:07 - 57.712 She was a dedicated member, committee member in
01:07 - 00.012 both Chout and Ham and Upper Dublin townships.
01:08 - 05.012 She was a dedicated member of the Montgomery County Council of Republican Women.
01:08 - 11.042 She was involved in numerous local organizations within our community, and
01:08 - 15.012 her wonderful husband Dick served as a county officer for several years.
01:08 - 19.000 They're both terrific people. We will miss Joan very much. Thank you.
01:08 - 23.000 Thank you.
01:08 - 30.000 All in favor of adopting resolutions 6 through 9, please respond by saying aye.
01:08 - 33.870 The ayes have it. The resolutions are adopted. Resolution number
01:08 - 37.012 10, the chair now recognizes Bill Lewis of the Zern County.
01:08 - 47.000 Just speak on behalf of a more resolution honoring T. Lynette Villano.
01:08 - 50.626 Thank you, Mr. Chairman. I do ask that the State
01:08 - 54.012 Committee approved the resolution for Lynette Villano.
01:08 - 57.278 She was an incumbent member of the State Committee,
01:08 - 00.012 just having been reelected in the primary.
01:09 - 02.988 She was our former county chairman, the first woman
01:09 - 06.012 to serve as the county chairman of the Zern County.
01:09 - 11.951 She was a multi-time delegate to national conventions,
01:09 - 16.012 presidential elector for President Trump several times.
01:09 - 19.764 And I think most of you may know her for her
01:09 - 23.012 incredible enthusiasm for President Trump.
01:09 - 26.000 The minute he announced she was with him.
01:09 - 29.691 So we lost just less than a month ago one of our
01:09 - 33.012 current members and a dear friend to so many of us.
01:09 - 38.000 So I ask that you support this resolution. Thank you so much.
01:09 - 41.000 Thank you, Bill.
01:09 - 45.000 All in favor of the resolution number 10, please say aye.
01:09 - 49.000 All opposed, nay. The ayes have it. The resolution is adopted.
01:10 - 06.076 Chair now recognizes resolution number 11, Holly Kelly of York County
01:10 - 10.012 to speak on behalf of a more resolution honoring Linda Myers-Drey.
01:10 - 31.108 Thank you very much. Just a little over a week ago we lost Linda Myers-Drey and I think she was a force in York County and across our state delegation
01:10 - 36.952 that many knew of her efforts to work with tireless passion for the sake of the Republican party and our candidates and certainly of Scott Perry.
01:10 - 44.768 She was a member of our local committee. She was a member of our state committee and again she was our district captain
01:10 - 49.572 in the northern part of the county, putting a stamp on that area for a winning edge in the northern part of the county.
01:10 - 59.009 She created an event called the Great American meet and greet. We are having that event in her
01:10 - 03.012 honor on October 4th and that will be with all of our delegation here in York County as well.
01:11 - 09.000 She's a long time lover of dogs and horses and a Penn State fan.
01:11 - 17.731 We are. We stand in honor of all of her passion and
01:11 - 22.012 tenacity and ask you to adopt the resolution in her honor.
01:11 - 35.697 I just pulled up my phone and she died last week and I have a text from her on Saturday, September 12th at
01:11 - 40.022 7 o'clock at night saying I'm doing the American, the Great American meet and greet on Sunday, October 4th.
01:11 - 50.801 I hope you can make it. You have the opportunity to speak. Please let me know ASAP
01:11 - 55.012 because I want to finalize the invitation and I responded. I'm so glad I did. I responded.
01:12 - 12.167 Thank you. All in favor of the resolution honoring our friend Linda Myers-Drey. Please say aye. I'll pose no resolution pass. Now
01:12 - 17.652 resolution number 12, the chair recognizes Jim Billman of Brooks County to speak on behalf of his more resolution honoring Maria Diesel.
01:12 - 34.727 Where as Maria Diesel age 70 of Blue Bell, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 31, 2006. And where as Maria was a devout
01:12 - 41.692 Catholic, who's deep in abiding faith guided her throughout her life, always putting God before all else and living her life with compassion, generosity and love for others.
01:12 - 06.887 And more Chester, Pennsylvania, Mary attended Mount St. Joseph Academy, graduating with the class of 1974 before earning her degree from Villanova University in 1978. And where as Maria proposed, I'm sorry, Maria possessed a entrepreneurial spirit
01:13 - 16.852 and enjoyed a diverse and accomplished career, including work and sales ownership of vending and drive through pizza businesses, event planning, fundraising and more than 30 years of dedicated services as a campaign fundraiser and finance director.
01:13 - 34.567 Where as throughout her career, Maria devouted countless hours and tremendous energy to the Republican Party, supporting candidates, campaigns, fundraising efforts, and Republican causes her commitment, expertise, enthusiasm and tireless work made her a valued and
01:13 - 45.492 trusted member of the Republican Party and her contributions strengthened the party at every level. And where as Maria was an accomplished gardener, who took delight in preparing gourmet meals using ingredients grown in her own garden, she enjoyed barking with her family.
01:13 - 05.193 And treasured time in her mountain home, which she considered her own slice of heaven. And where as Maria will be remembered for her unstoppable energy, vibrant personality, generous spirit and remarkable, remarkable ability to light up any room, her kindness, faith, friendship and unwavering dedication
01:14 - 17.197 to the Republican Party and the causes she believed in, left an enduring mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. And where as Maria's passing, leaves a profound void in the lives of her family, friends, colleagues and countless members of the Republican Party, who are proud of her family.
01:14 - 25.939 And in her life of faith, family, friendship, service and dedicated commitment to the Republican Party. And be it further
01:14 - 30.012 resolved that this resolution is adopted by the Republican Party of Pennsylvania and that a copy be presented to the family.
01:14 - 33.738 So as a lasting expression of the party's respect, gratitude
01:14 - 37.012 and condolences, submitted James Billman. Thank you.
01:14 - 41.896 And anybody who's been around the Republican Party, as long as I
01:14 - 46.012 have worked a lot with Maria Diesel and she was a wonderful person.
01:14 - 48.999 All in favor of resolution number 12, please say aye.
01:14 - 50.000 Aye.
01:14 - 01.070 All opposed nay, resolution passes and finally resolution number 13, the chair recognizes John Wink
01:15 - 05.012 of Allegheny County to speak on behalf of his memorial resolution honoring James L. Copanhaven.
01:15 - 14.293 Thank you, Mr. Chairman. Jim Copanhaven is now the second victim of the attempted
01:15 - 18.012 assassination of President Trump in Butler County, Pennsylvania in 2024.
01:15 - 36.008 Jim, that gunman robbed Jim of his health and well-being during the last two years of his life, robbed his family and friends
01:15 - 40.972 of future years of life with Jim and robbed everyone of the contributions that Jim surely would have made to the community.
01:15 - 45.088 He served on the Republican Committee of Moon Township
01:15 - 49.012 Allegheny County elected member and he was a friend.
01:15 - 55.000 I can't believe two weeks ago I sat next to him at the meeting.
01:15 - 58.000 Two weeks prior to his death.
01:16 - 17.000 So I urge the adoption of this memorial resolution.
01:16 - 21.000 I would like to ask if we could take a moment of silence or prayer.
01:16 - 33.053 I believe we will all see these fine Republicans again when we
01:16 - 37.012 all get to heaven, but if we could take a moment of silence.
01:16 - 44.054 Thank you. And God bless you, God bless them and their families. A couple housekeeping marks
01:16 - 48.012 and then we're going to end with a rousing speech from our Lieutenant Governor candidate.
01:16 - 53.058 There are slate cards for all you to pick up for your counties. They're beautiful. When
01:16 - 57.012 you get them out there, there's also garrity cards, get those out there in the back.
01:17 - 03.863 Our next meeting will be, I think we have a date,
01:17 - 08.012 February 5th, 6th and 7th in Lehigh County, right? Yes.
01:17 - 13.710 And I want to thank James Markley and the whole
01:17 - 18.012 staff, Angie, the whole gang for all their great work.
01:17 - 24.000 Lancaster, I'm sorry, in Lancaster. You'll get notice.
01:17 - 33.816 All right, so how many days do we have left? We're going to promote
01:17 - 38.012 early voting on demand voting over the counter voting, banking your vote.
01:17 - 41.463 We're going to elect for those four Congress, the
01:17 - 44.012 toss of Congress seats are going to win them all.
01:17 - 49.012 We're going to reelect all the Senate majority to keep the wall against the crazies.
01:17 - 53.482 We're going to make Jesse Topper speaker. We're going to make Stacey
01:17 - 57.012 Garity, governor of the first female governor of Pennsylvania.
01:17 - 01.833 And the kid from Al Equipa, wrestling champ, come on up.
01:18 - 06.012 We worked in a steel mill, worked his way through law school.
01:18 - 09.538 The accomplished litigator in traveling the state,
01:18 - 13.012 our friend, your friend, my friend, Jason Ritchie.
01:18 - 24.000 Pennsylvania, are we ready to win? Let's go.
01:18 - 32.000 I am so honored to be here in front of you. This is our time. This is our moment.
01:18 - 41.039 This is what we all volunteered and signed up for. What happens in the next 38
01:18 - 45.012 days is going to change the trajectory of Pennsylvania one way or the other.
01:19 - 09.517 And I am so proud to be in the arena when I got that call that I did not expect in January from Stacey Garity asking me to run for lieutenant governor. I could not have
01:19 - 14.988 been more happy to be on a team with a person that I knew from when I ran for governor four years ago and got to know of the utmost character of the utmost confidence.
01:19 - 19.018 A veteran, someone was one of the first females in military combat
01:19 - 23.012 and one of the greatest treasures this commonwealth has ever had.
01:19 - 39.074 And when she asked me to run with her and not only that, but to govern with her, I had to think
01:19 - 43.012 about it because I know running in all 67 counties, you have to stop your life and go 100%.
01:19 - 50.211 And I knew that she is one of the hardest workers that you will ever meet.
01:19 - 54.012 And I, if I'm doing it, there's no way I am going to let her down.
01:20 - 06.043 So I had to think about it. And when I thought about it, I recognize that since I've been in college, this is
01:20 - 10.012 going to be the first chance that the Democrats have had to take complete control of the Pennsylvania government.
01:20 - 12.956 And I know they just need two Senate seats and
01:20 - 16.012 I thought about what they've been doing, right?
01:20 - 20.928 In the state house, they have passed abortion on demand bill up to
01:20 - 25.012 the day of birth, one of the most liberal such bills in the country.
01:20 - 31.800 When the Pennsylvania Senate passed a bill to keep men out of
01:20 - 36.012 women's sports, Josh Shapiro called all of our senators extremists.
01:20 - 44.797 We know that Josh Shapiro filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration to make sure
01:20 - 49.012 eight-year-olds and 10-year-olds have health care for gender transition both hormonal and mutilation.
01:20 - 55.943 And we know that Josh Shapiro on all four of his budgets proposed some crazy number well
01:20 - 00.012 above what we bring in that's going to eventually lead to tax increases and fee increases.
01:21 - 04.364 So he can act like Santa Claus to pass it all around
01:21 - 08.012 to his followers and supporters. Not acceptable.
01:21 - 12.029 But I also thought about all the reasons why I
01:21 - 16.012 ran for governor four years ago. They still exist.
01:21 - 25.123 Just weeks ago, U.S. News and World Report came out and found
01:21 - 29.012 Pennsylvania ranked 47th out of the 50 states in economy.
01:21 - 34.000 That's impossible. We have more natural resources than most countries of the world.
01:21 - 40.710 We sit in the best geographic place between New York, Washington, D.
01:21 - 44.012 C. and Boston and we've got hard working people.
01:21 - 49.171 Right now in Pennsylvania, seven out of 10 eighth graders
01:21 - 53.012 are not proficient in reading or math under Shapiro.
01:21 - 59.000 We are one of the top six in the nation. You are in getting taxed.
01:21 - 02.935 We have outrageous taxation to support way too much government,
01:22 - 06.012 including the second highest gas tax in the country.
01:22 - 09.197 And of course you have the world's most expensive
01:22 - 12.012 road to drive on in the Pennsylvania term pike.
01:22 - 20.663 And worst of all, we are in the top six of people fleeing our state.
01:22 - 24.012 Our kids and our grandkids are not staying here.
01:22 - 37.858 So when I thought about all of that and I put it together, I
01:22 - 41.951 picked up my phone and I called Stacy back and I said, "I'm in.
01:22 - 50.151 " And I'm in this fight, among other reasons, because I know just like
01:22 - 54.012 the Democrats can take full control of the government, so can we.
01:23 - 07.078 So can we. We just need two house seats and one governor seat and we can put conservative economic
01:23 - 11.012 principles to play that will help and change the lives of millions and millions of Pennsylvania.
01:23 - 18.000 [applause]
01:23 - 20.431 Now why am doing this for public service?
01:23 - 24.012 You know, Stacy and I are not career politicians like Josh Shapiro.
01:23 - 30.063 We're doing this and we're out there because we know the potential Pennsylvania
01:23 - 34.012 and we care, "I do want to let you know that I have a personal agenda in this."
01:23 - 42.082 And that is, I've got three boys. I've got Justin, Logan, and Marcus. And like me, I've
01:23 - 46.012 got two of them wrestle at Gettysburg College and one Russell's at Duke University.
01:23 - 50.000 And I've been married to my wife, Melissa, for 26 years.
01:23 - 55.000 [applause]
01:23 - 02.041 And we want those boys to live right here in Pittsburgh with us. We want our
01:24 - 06.012 grandkids to live right here in Pittsburgh with us, because that's family.
01:24 - 12.000 That's why as humans we live for the love of those that we care so much about.
01:24 - 14.779 And Pennsylvania needs to be that place of
01:24 - 18.012 opportunity again. And this election will decide it.
01:24 - 22.398 And I'm going to tell you, this is going to be the most clear
01:24 - 26.012 election that we probably ever had in Pennsylvania history.
01:24 - 34.000 And the first point I want to make, if there's any doubt out there, we will win.
01:24 - 37.786 The polls have showed for a long time, even
01:24 - 41.012 internally, that we were down in the single digits.
01:24 - 44.593 And I believe that moved very close to make him
01:24 - 48.012 do his data center switch in his executive order.
01:24 - 51.465 And he would not be spending, I mean this guy is a
01:24 - 55.012 horrible governor, perhaps even a horrible human being.
01:24 - 01.000 But he is a very good politician. I'll give him that.
01:25 - 06.170 And he's not spending millions and millions of dollars right now on unethical
01:25 - 10.012 false television advertisements on Stacey Garrity if he was not nervous.
01:25 - 14.000 If he didn't know there was a chance he's defeated.
01:25 - 19.000 And let me tell you about what you need to know about this guy, okay?
01:25 - 24.045 The bottom line is not only did he get a million dollars
01:25 - 28.012 to help his home and trying to take by adverse possession,
01:25 - 33.630 his neighbor's property and apparently allegedly avoided
01:25 - 38.012 procurement laws for carpets and lighting in his executive mansion.
01:25 - 44.000 What you need to know about this guy is that he is a con man.
01:25 - 47.000 He is a fraud.
01:25 - 51.435 Almost everything Josh Shapiro says has some
01:25 - 55.012 element of lie or misrepresentation in it.
01:25 - 01.000 When he ran for governor last time, he said he was for a school choice, he vetoed it.
01:26 - 04.813 When he ran for governor last time, he said he would give rid of
01:26 - 08.012 Reggie and the carbon taxes, he's still threatened carbon taxes.
01:26 - 10.341 And that's prevented new electricity and
01:26 - 13.012 manufacturing from coming in to Pennsylvania.
01:26 - 16.060 And this man will take credit for just about anything
01:26 - 19.012 that happens even though he had nothing to do with it.
01:26 - 25.000 And he has had no substantive achievement whatsoever in four years.
01:26 - 28.000 You can't name me one.
01:26 - 32.873 He has no economic plan whatsoever other than handing money out like
01:26 - 37.012 Santa Claus to his friends and where he thinks he can get voter support.
01:26 - 41.839 And if you need to convince anyone of what a failure
01:26 - 46.012 his governor's ship has been and why we need change now.
01:26 - 50.000 Just looking at his first television commercial, look what he did.
01:26 - 54.418 He had no achievements but he had to pick something. They said his
01:26 - 58.012 consultants, hey, let's do an advertisement of something he did.
01:26 - 04.000 So he knows he has to lie to the people of Pennsylvania as he has done for four years.
01:27 - 07.000 And how does he lie to the people of Pennsylvania?
01:27 - 11.000 He uses children to lie to the people of Pennsylvania.
01:27 - 16.000 But not just children, he makes the children news reporters.
01:27 - 20.000 And if you haven't seen the commercial, it goes like this.
01:27 - 23.000 There's four kids behind a news desk, breaking news.
01:27 - 29.000 Josh Shapiro just got 1.7 million children, free breakfast.
01:27 - 31.614 And then a little girl comes up and says,
01:27 - 34.012 Governor, why did you get us all free breakfast?
01:27 - 39.000 And he says, because I know kids with full bellies learn better during the day.
01:27 - 43.000 And if you just do a simple Google search, you will see.
01:27 - 47.000 Then Josh Shapiro had absolutely nothing to do with the free breakfast program.
01:27 - 51.000 It was in Governor Wolf's term and it was implemented by Governor Wolf.
01:27 - 53.421 This is what this guy does, whether it's
01:27 - 56.012 reduction in corporate net income taxes, right?
01:27 - 01.000 He had nothing to do with. But he says, oh, I reduced taxes every year I was governor.
01:28 - 06.000 This guy is a fraud. And we need you to get out there and expose him.
01:28 - 11.000 Because the truth of it is, he does not care about you.
01:28 - 14.000 He does not care about the people of Pennsylvania.
01:28 - 17.000 His aim is very specific.
01:28 - 22.000 Every decision this man makes is has the same lemme test.
01:28 - 25.000 His goal is to be president of the United States.
01:28 - 32.000 And he will make every decision based on what is best in his mind for Josh Shapiro.
01:28 - 36.000 Because that is all he cares about.
01:28 - 43.000 Now, let me contrast with your other option that the people of Pennsylvania have.
01:28 - 47.253 Unlike Josh Shapiro, every elected, he will be running
01:28 - 51.012 for president in South Carolina in New Hampshire.
01:28 - 58.005 He will, every elected, try to make Pennsylvania the poster child for
01:28 - 02.012 how liberal he can be to appeal to the Californians and the New Yorkers.
01:29 - 07.000 That is one thing, but there is Stacey Garrity and Jason Richie.
01:29 - 12.000 And we are not going to be focused on such things. We are going to be focused on you.
01:29 - 16.000 We are going to be focused on how we are going to turn around Pennsylvania.
01:29 - 23.000 And on day one, we are going to unleash the enormous energy potential of Pennsylvania.
01:29 - 33.000 We are the Saudi Arabia of natural gas.
01:29 - 36.627 And since we have had the technology to unleash
01:29 - 40.012 it, we have been stuck with wolf in Shapiro.
01:29 - 44.000 And I don't know why they won't unleash it, but Stacey and I will.
01:29 - 48.015 And that is going to include bringing new natural gas fire power plants to
01:29 - 52.012 Pennsylvania to build more electricity and bring your utility costs down.
01:29 - 57.000 To make it more affordable.
01:29 - 00.000 Shapiro is completely mismanagement.
01:30 - 03.450 Every Pennsylvania and your utility bills have
01:30 - 07.012 went up as much as 35% due to his incompetence.
01:30 - 11.610 With our energy unleashing, we will build the infrastructure to make sure
01:30 - 15.012 there are pipelines from well-head to the natural gas fire power plant.
01:30 - 24.088 And most importantly, we have got to build and have the private sector build the infrastructure to get
01:30 - 28.132 the natural gas to fill it out for the private sector will build an LNG plant, the cool natural gas.
01:30 - 32.000 And we will get our naval yard there working again, building gas tankers.
01:30 - 36.000 And we are going to send Pennsylvania natural gas around the world.
01:30 - 39.209 We will make sure that our NATO allies are addicted
01:30 - 42.012 to Pennsylvania natural gas and not Russian.
01:30 - 47.000 And we will bring in six to seven billion in new revenue.
01:30 - 52.000 We will create 200,000 new jobs throughout the entire Commonwealth.
01:30 - 58.988 And with that money, Stacey and I are going to be laser focused on reducing
01:30 - 03.012 your taxes, getting rid of these crippling property taxes and school taxes.
01:31 - 13.000 We will make Pennsylvania's lives more affordable.
01:31 - 20.000 On day one, Stacey and I will bring school choice to Pennsylvania.
01:31 - 46.396 The federal government has provided tens of millions of dollars available to any state that opt in so that parents can use that money, parents that have need to get their kids
01:31 - 52.138 tutoring, to get them home school, to send them to a private school, another public school that's accepting kids, charter school, cyber school, and all the governor has to do is opt in.
01:31 - 55.883 37 states have opted into this. And even New York, and I heard a Colorado
01:31 - 59.949 governor who is very liberal and said, "Why would you opt in the school choice?
01:32 - 02.836 " And he said, "Why wouldn't I?
01:32 - 08.012 " It's free money. It's more money for Coloradoans, right?
01:32 - 12.189 And that makes you wonder why won't Josh Shapiro
01:32 - 16.012 opt into the program? And we know the answer.
01:32 - 29.527 Because he's owned by the Teachers Union, and he doesn't care about our families. He doesn't care about our kids.
01:32 - 34.132 He's more concerned that having the Teachers Union is the best for his political career, and that is unacceptable.
01:32 - 46.672 And finally, Stacy and I will get rid of all of these crazy regulations that
01:32 - 51.012 Pennsylvania has. We have 160,000, and they thwart businesses being able to move forward.
01:32 - 58.988 They increase the cost of pharmacy, drug products, they increase the cost of health care,
01:32 - 03.012 and these regulations make health care hard to come by, especially in rural Pennsylvania.
01:33 - 06.738 We are going to cut them down, and then we're going to make a
01:33 - 10.012 rule that for every new regulation we have, we take one away.
01:33 - 19.066 And I assure you all that if we unleash the energy, if we bring in school choice, and I'm
01:33 - 23.012 sure you, when we do that, we won't have 7 out of 10 kids, not proficient in reading or math.
01:33 - 32.967 And when we cut down the regulations, Pennsylvania will not be 47th out of 50 in economy. We will
01:33 - 37.012 take our place where we should be as the dominant economic engine of the United States of America.
01:33 - 50.033 To do that though, people I'm looking at right here, we need you. We need your help. This
01:33 - 54.012 is how we're going to do it, and I've talked to you all, but I'm going to say it again.
01:33 - 59.912 This is some things you can do right now to help this campaign. Obviously, you
01:33 - 04.012 can donate. If you haven't donated donate, even a small amount, to GaryForPA.com.
01:34 - 16.327 Sign up for Twilightjustice.com. It's coming out next week, Twilightjustice.com. It's going to bring out new
01:34 - 20.812 truths about Josh Shapiro that the Philadelphia and choir and the Pittsburgh Post is that. Don't dare to touch.
01:34 - 25.080 Twilightjustice.com will. We need you to get that and spread
01:34 - 29.012 it around Pennsylvania, and expose this man for who he is.
01:34 - 43.128 Next, we need you to follow Stacy and I on social media. I am continually doing videos, and I will continue to do them to expose
01:34 - 48.092 the lies that are in his commercial, the lies that are in his comments, and the fraud that he's portraying on Pennsylvania.
01:34 - 56.458 And the more algorithms, more likes and falls, we get the more they go out. We've already had 4 million views,
01:34 - 00.822 and it's growing every day. And the message is getting out. And finally, we need you to do what you do best.
01:35 - 10.137 Get trained on pulsar, make those phone calls, knock on those doors. And if you work hard, I can
01:35 - 14.012 assure you, Stacy and I in his last 38 days, we will give you everything we have in our soul.
01:35 - 22.302 Every minute, every day, we're working on this to win. I don't know about the past candidates, but
01:35 - 26.387 I'll tell you, I find it hard to believe you got two people working as hard as Stacy and I am to win.
01:35 - 35.035 We understand what's at stake. So 38 days, we're the team. We can win. Get out there.
01:35 - 39.012 Let's do this. And let's change the lives of millions and millions of conservation.
01:35 - 46.000 Thank you. God bless you and God bless Pennsylvania.
01:35 - 02.000 Ladies and gentlemen, pick up your Stacy Garrity literature in the back.
01:36 - 09.000 Your Stacy Garrity literature back there, your poll cards are mostly adjourned.
01:36 - 18.000 All in favor, we are now adjourned.
01:36 - 42.000 [MUSIC]
