00:37 - maybe even a year now we visited out in Pittsburgh and a company that was

00:41 - building a moon probe.

00:44 - For space exploration but when we really go back and look at our history in king of

00:48 - prussia gd he had a major headquarters and they put people on the moon

00:52 - but satellites in space

00:54 - we've done a lot of technological advances out of our state with our engineers and

00:57 - their engineering companies with space exploration

01:01 - so I know that you're probably referring to a representative laxman hearing

01:05 - there'll we had a couple of weeks ago

01:07 - yes yes we will get to that the mirror but first

01:09 - for ga expand on what you saw in Pittsburgh

01:12 - when you went to that laboratory this working

01:14 - on a lunar lander that that's very interesting.

01:17 - So it was really cool to be able to see that they

01:20 - have worked on multiple landers over the years

01:22 - and at the time we were there they have an

01:24 - abs duration narrator you can watch them act

01:26 - actually build the lunar lander

01:28 - and it was sitting on the platform that will be shipped to NASA

01:31 - and then or SpaceX I can't remember which one they did it with

01:34 - and then be put into the

01:36 - space to land on the moon

01:38 - and it was

01:39 - I dunno maybe the size of a desk

01:41 - a large

01:42 - business desk.

01:44 - With all the probes and everything on it it wasn't as big as we'd search the curiosity

01:49 - or one of the Mars landers

01:51 - but it was pretty big and it was pretty cool to be able to say hey

01:54 - we saw that being made in Pittsburgh and now it's sitting on the moon

01:59 - and now let's get back to that hearing you mentioned a minute ago and representative

02:02 - waxman was one of the people who had spoken there

02:05 - and this is a meeting of your committee the communications and technology committee.

02:11 - So you had this meeting and and what kind of groups were

02:14 - invited to testify.

02:16 - We had an air force pilot.

02:18 - Former air force pilot we had

02:21 - some physicists and experts from

02:23 - penn state

02:24 - and we had the former deputy secretary of defense for the united states.

02:29 - And I understand there was a group called the penn state extraterrestrial

02:34 - intelligence

02:35 - center certainly that's an intriguing name

02:39 - and

02:39 - how did they explain how they are

02:42 - probing the universe.

02:44 - While they look for anomalies they look.

02:47 - Astronomers to

02:48 - look out into space and see

02:50 - if there's any anomalies or sounds that a gear

02:53 - in the universe that

02:54 - might not match what

02:56 - you know the normal sounds of the universe are

02:58 - and try and understand them and see what these are and if it is

03:02 - some sort of signal or life or something

03:06 - from another planet or

03:07 - even another galaxy.

03:10 - Or what did they say this group from penn

03:12 - state the extra terrestrial intelligence center

03:14 - what did they say about the

03:16 - prospect of communicating

03:18 - with other species I mean it certainly

03:21 - gives us pause and it's interesting.

03:23 - I think it's very interesting that it's more

03:25 - of the technology that they're exploring.

03:28 - The universe with

03:30 - and listening what's out there

03:31 - we might hear anomalies of sounds

03:34 - it can be different ways that planets are

03:35 - forming or something has happened with a star

03:38 - and it gives us a better understanding of our own

03:40 - you know solar system

03:42 - was created

03:43 - and

03:43 - they talked about a sound and

03:45 - earth years ago

03:47 - and they went back and found out that it was I

03:48 - think what we put in space just coming back to us

03:51 - and

03:52 - it talks about how a radio frequencies and TV frequencies

03:55 - go out into space

03:57 - and just keep going and never end

04:00 - and it's a small department

04:02 - but the gentleman I think he was a physicist.

04:05 - Indefinitely was a phd

04:08 - and his area of expertise and see see a major

04:10 - university in the united states support this

04:13 - it was very interesting to hear that too.

04:17 - You mentioned that represent Ben waxman

04:19 - was there at the hearing and he indicated that he wanted to talk

04:23 - about possible

04:25 - alien encounters so what was said during the hearing

04:29 - along those lines.

04:31 - Well we didn't get into that someone saw you know

04:33 - little green men as someone referred to it as.

04:37 - We talked about with the air force as

04:39 - the pilots have experienced

04:41 - when they've seen crafts that they can't explain.

04:45 - We talked about with is the deputy secretary of defense said

04:48 - and the defense department whenever things that would happen they couldn't explain

04:52 - whenever different lights or probes that they would

04:54 - see and they had no idea what they were in the speed

04:57 - that they wanted that lets

04:58 - you know

04:59 - I think what's important about this

05:01 - is whether.

05:02 - People believe that there's extra terrestrials you want followers or not

05:06 - when something like this is found

05:09 - if it is

05:09 - foreign

05:11 - and cities

05:12 - if it's a foreign nation

05:14 - they have technology that we can't explain and we can't stop.

05:18 - We need it we have to understand it

05:20 - and research it

05:21 - so we can protect our own country against it

05:25 - You know sometimes people get caught up with the whole thing of television and movies

05:29 - that it's an alien invasion

05:30 - it

05:31 - Doesn't need to be an alien invasion

05:33 - it could be another country that is technologically advanced beyond

05:37 - what we know

05:38 - and now we have to figure out what this is

05:40 - and how we can keep up with it.

05:41 - Now I understand another group that participated at the meeting

05:45 - was called the disclosure

05:47 - foundation

05:48 - and

05:49 - they said that aircraft of unknown origin or

05:52 - disrupting military operations which I think is

05:55 - what you touched on a moment ago did they offer any kind of

05:59 - compelling evidence did you learn anything new.

06:03 - They really didn't go into depth a lot of death because I guess they can't

06:07 - but they did say that they were doing maneuvers that they couldn't do.

06:11 - Because of what these.

06:13 - Unidentified aircraft were doing

06:15 - or whatever they were.

06:17 - Should have had to move with their operations

06:20 - and they've talked about I think we ever see in Pennsylvania

06:23 - one of the highest

06:24 - for an identified

06:25 - aircraft's center

06:26 - in the nation

06:28 - but all were military bases and nuclear instalments is the other places

06:33 - and now that tends

06:34 - to make you think if you were a foreign country

06:37 - looking to see what we have for technology

06:39 - those would be the places that you would go to.

06:43 - So to say that it's alien

06:45 - it's unknown is really what the term should be.

06:48 - When reports are made about u f o sightings usually what

06:52 - is the the chain of command what happens to that report

06:56 - did people go to the police and if they do

06:58 - the police do anything

07:00 - what's the standard operating procedure if there is one

07:03 - well and that's something that really came up is how

07:06 - to handle the police where they where they go with it

07:09 - local police departments sometimes don't know

07:11 - if it's a much larger event

07:13 - they're going to contact the military

07:15 - and put it into the military's hands and nine times out of ten it ends up with

07:19 - if it's a larger event with the military making a comment

07:21 - with the military investigating it.

07:24 - Recently the Pentagon released another batch of a u fl videos and

07:30 - have you seen those videos and what's your opinion of them so far.

07:34 - I've seen some of them

07:35 - I find it interesting and I wonder what some

07:38 - of these things are like the rest of us do

07:41 - but I also it makes me think that

07:43 - we need to

07:44 - technologically advance ourselves

07:47 - that we can figure out what these are.

07:49 - You know we can put a probe on the phone but

07:51 - we can't figure out what that flashing light is

07:54 - above a military base

07:56 - how is that possible

07:57 - so

07:58 - Even if we don't understand what it is we should have a clear picture

08:01 - why is it that the picture is always blurry.

08:04 - Or or

08:05 - a funk funky color

08:06 - or you really can't define it

08:08 - yet we hear all the time that

08:10 - we have satellites in space I could see the face of a dime in the street

08:14 - like

08:14 - come on.

08:15 - You know what are we doing here.

08:19 - Well representative what do you think

08:20 - the recent trend from the Pentagon of

08:23 - releasing these videos at so the public can see them.

08:28 - I think that all information should be out to the public

08:31 - the published reality decide for themselves

08:33 - what they see they should be told what they're saying

08:35 - and they should be able to see for themselves and make their one opinion

08:40 - and again that doesn't mean that this is an alien

08:42 - who's coming onto our planet

08:44 - but the technology the technological advances

08:47 - just thinking about this fifty years ago a probe

08:49 - of.

08:59 - if we would have seen a drone fifty years ago what would you have thought

09:12 - it can be technology that is being tested

09:15 - that we don't know about

09:25 - meeting is behind us what's likely to come out of it.

09:29 - Legislation wise.

09:31 - I don't know if we'll have much legislation

09:34 - but one thing we did here and you've alluded to it is that local police departments

09:38 - don't really know what to do with this information when they get it

09:42 - so maybe a path

09:43 - that they can feed up the information to

09:46 - and they can discuss it

09:48 - there's not really much legislation I think that one of the exciting things is

09:52 - to look at technology the advancements of technology

09:55 - and what we can do in advanced companies within

09:57 - the commonwealth to get into this technology

10:01 - and space exploration look I'm a big space geek

10:03 - I love star wars I love star trek

10:06 - I always say that

10:07 - I'm a graduate of the university of Miami and gene roddenberry graduate of the

10:10 - university of Miami so stars rack right all the way

10:13 - and out of that we've seen them grow

10:16 - ecology

10:17 - space exploration has brought great things for our homes here on earth

10:21 - and I think we should support the idea of looking beyond

10:25 - our planet

10:27 - big economic factor too.
