Carbon County, Pennsylvania's Historic Courthouses

(2019) Carbon County is full of rich history and amazing stories. Notably, members of the "Molly Maguires" were held in the Carbon County jailhouse, a building which is now recognized in the National Register of Historic Places. The founder of Lehigh University, Asa Packer, was also a Carbon County judge in the 1840s. His mansion sits on a hill overlooking the courthouse, and now serves as a museum for the county. Learn about all of that, and more about the courthouse, on this episode of Pennsylvania's Historic County Courthouses.
