Altoona Railroaders' Memorial Museum, It's History - Pennsylvania's Neighborhood: Altoona

Located in Altoona, the Railroaders Memorial Museum focuses on the history of railroad communities and workers in Altoona, the Altoona Works railroad complex, and the larger Pittsburgh area. The museum has operated since 1998 inside the Master Mechanics Building, which was built by the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1882. The museum also operates a separate museum, observatory, and visitor center at the Horseshoe Curve in Blair County.
